THE DAY HAS 28 HOURS…WITH PHOTOGRAPHER + DJ RACHEL POULLIAT

Rachel Poulliat is an up-and-coming photographer, DJane, and sometime model. Originally from a small village in France, she moved first to Paris and then to Berlin, where she has been living and working the past few years. Her photography, often taken while traveling, of urban landscapes, nature and portraiture, captures fleeting beautiful moments in an effortlessly cool way. Her party night ‘Carte Blanche Berlin‘ which she hosts and DJ’s at, is one of the hip Berliner’s favourite nights out. THE28 have selected some of our favourite pictures from her recent ‘California’ series – plus we spoke to her about her work, and why she needs 28 Hours a Day.

28BLACK GIRLS PARTY HIGH UP ON A380 FLIGHT!

It’s come to THE28′s attention that there is a video doing the rounds on YouTube of 28BLACK girls going wild on an A380 plane flight! Apparently they are promo girls from Australia and seems like they are really enjoying their, ahem, job! The video already has an astounding 152.000 views so check it out, enjoy, and give it your ‘Like’ too!

The Day Has 28 Hours: With Nikeata Thompson

Nikeata Thompson is Germany’s most successful dance choreographer for the Pop and Hip-Hop Scene. There are not many artists that don’t have Nikeata on speed-dial for when they need a new music video or have a special live show to put on. We caught up with the down-to-earth dance star – who has in her words ‘a Jamaican heart, English style and a German education’ – to talk about how she developed her unique dance style which got her to where she is today. THE28 was in Dubai recently and visited our key account Atlantis the Palm Hotel, and the incredible Sandance festival which the resort holds regularly and where Snow Patrol and Calvin Harris rocked a crowd of 17,000 people! The Day Has 28 Hours….with Amazingy

Amazingy.com is the all-organic beauty online store that is run out of Berlin by a married couple from Amsterdam, Floris and Ingrid van Onna. They have their own mineral-based cosmetics brand Hiro and they sell a very carefully considered selection of other gorgeous brands covering the whole spectrum from skincare to haircare to perfume. All products are 70% to 100% organic, not tested on animals plus they plant a tree with every online order made. They also enjoy great success as a DJ duo – Flowing – and they are indeed overflowing with such a great energy (not to mention their to-die-for style) that THE28 had to interview them to find out more about their projects. We are super excited to announce that 28BLACK has just launched in Australia and New Zealand! A team of beautiful promotions girls were released upon Sydney, who drove around in 28BLACK branded cars and gave away cans to shoppers, to city bankers, to students chilling by pools and sunbathing near the famous harbour! Summer is really arriving in Oz and nothing was more welcome than a complimentary ice cold can! The response has been amazing and we can’t wait until everyone ‘down under’ has had a taste of 28BLACK and 28WHITE’s natural Açaí goodness!
